At just 24 years old, David Borovic-Ivanov represents the future of European design. His diverse portfolio includes advanced bicycle concepts, 3D scanning technologies and brain-computer interface prototypes, and he demonstrates technical expertise and creative depth.
Supported by the West University of Timișoara, David registered one of his designs with the EUIPO, making him eligible for the competition. His success underscores the importance of design education, mentorship and the accessibility of the REUD system in nurturing the next generation of innovators.

SYNTHESIS is a hybrid electric bicycle that fuses human power with electric assistance to redefine sustainable urban mobility. Equipped with a rear hub motor and an integrated central battery, it can reach speeds of up to 70 km/h and offers three riding modes: manual, hybrid, and full electric.
